Your JSON never leaves your browser
All formatting, validation and conversion on dropjson.com is performed by JavaScript running in your browser. The text you paste is not transmitted to, logged by, or stored on any server operated by us. There is no backend.
Local storage
The formatter saves your last input and settings (indent, sort, pane split) in your browser's localStorage so they survive a refresh. This data stays on your device. Clear it at any time via your browser's site-data settings.
Hosting logs
The site is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and shows us aggregate traffic statistics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Advertising
We display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. More on how Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent dialog before any personalised ads are loaded.
Analytics
We do not run any third-party analytics script. Traffic statistics come only from Cloudflare's server-side aggregate counts.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
